How you can help
Parents are the most important people in a child’s life. Your interest and encouragement are vital to your developing child.
We like, therefore, to encourage a close working relationship between staff and parents and encourage you to engage with children’s online learning journal ‘Tapestry’.
Ways to help:
1 - Please feel free to talk to your child’s teacher, or a member of Nursery staff if you have any concerns or comments regarding your child. We will be more than happy to discuss your child and their progress at any time.
2 - Always remember to tell us if someone other than yourself is coming to collect your child. We feel it is necessary for adults only to do this so we know our children will be safely taken home.
3 - If your child is ill, please ring the school office and leave a message with admin staff for your child’s teacher.
4 - Daily attendance at school will help your child to become secure in the new routine and environment, and enable them to gain maximum benefit from the nursery experience.
5 - We will keep you informed of nursery activities etc./often by way of notices on doors, messages on Tapestry and the school gateway app. Please ensure school have up to date contact details for you.
6 - We know a love of books is a vital contributory factor in the gradual process of learning to read, therefore, we ask you to make use of the library book your child will bring home each week. Please spend a few quiet minutes at home reading your child’s library book and discussing it together.
7 - We would appreciate boxes, cartons, buttons, wool, string, etc., for our scrap materials boxes. Our children will make good use of them!
